The Tendulkars have added another real estate asset to their list. This time, the property is in the name of Anjali Tendulkar, wife of former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The property is located in Bandra east, close to the house where Sachin spent early years of his life.
The flat, located in Rustomjee Seasons in Gandhi Nagar, Bandra east, is registered in the name of Anjali Sachin Tendulkar, 50, resident of 19-A, Perry Cross Road, Bandra west. The cost of the flat is Rs 7.15 crore, while its ready reckoner rate is Rs 4.97 crore. The flat is located on the 16th floor in the B wing and the registered area measures close to 1,600 sq ft.
The last big purchase by Sachin was the bungalow in Bandra west, where he currently resides. The bungalow had cost Rs 39 crore for the Perry Cross Road bungalow in 2007. He moved there in 2011, before which he stayed in La Mer in Bandra west.
The flat in Bandra east, which is now in the name of Anjali Tendulkar, was finalised in the month of May and a stamp duty of Rs 35.79 lakh was also paid during the registration. Along with the flat, she will get two car parks. The flat’s carpet area is 1459.38 sq ft thus taking the per sq ft rate to Rs 49,000 on carpet.
According to sources, the flat is a gift from Anjali’s parents. In March, Mehta House in Malabar Hill, which once was the abode of Mrs Tendulkar, was sold to a businessman. The entire bungalow went for Rs 145 crore, of which certain share belonged to Anjali too. A detailed email sent to Tendulkar’s representative got us no response.
